Youth Services Australia, originally called 'Roadtripz' was founded in 2009 by Jason Cousins.
Our primary objectives are to improve the health, education, justice and employment prospects of vulnerable communities.
As an Indigenous Employment Program panel member (2012-2015), we delivered the 'Roadtripz To The Future' pilot program, which achieved a 90% retention rate among our most disengaged, vulnerable youth.
Through this experience, we identified gaps which prevent resources and services reaching the most vulnerable families.
In response to the poor outcomes of 'Closing The Gap' initiative and the ongoing increase in childhood obesity in Australia, we have created a community capacity building model which is currently being trialed since April 2018.
